Welcome Kate Victoria 2/10/2012

It was a long 9 months but sooo worth it!
Me and my big tummy the morning of the c-section.

Little Kate Victoria was born at 9:58 am at Ohio State University Medical Center. She was 7 lbs 1 ounce and was 19 1/2 inches long. She had lots of blonde curly hair, big blue eyes, and a dimple on her right cheek. There is nothing better in the whole world than seeing your baby and holding her for the first time. It is always such a relief for me to know that she is healthy and strong.

I had a repeat c-section which was actually kind of nice. It is nice to have it scheduled and then to go in, have a spinal, no pain, and over in 10 minutes. Still never felt contractions but I'm not complaining although that doesn't mean my pregnancy was pain and anxiety free. I'm glad it's over but would do it again if it meant i could have a new sweet baby in my arms.

Dad and Kate.. I think it is so sweet to see dads with their daughters and he has 3! What a good sport he is! I wish I could figure out how to post the video but he guessed her weight right on and then decided that she looked like a Kate instead of a chicken nugget. I had multiple names that I liked but Dave always said Kate was his favorite so that is what we went with. I really liked the name Kate too. Dave's middle name is Victor and since he may never have a boy we decided that Victoria was kind of a cute middle name in honor of dad.

I loved having Dave and the kids come to visit, we also had so many good friends come to visit as well. I wish I would have been better about getting pictures of everyone that came. I sure missed not having family close to come and visit and see Kate but it all turned out just fine. I am so grateful for so many friends that helped with the girls during the day Kate was born as well as while I was in the hospital so that Dave could come alone and spend some time with me and the new baby.

Lucy is such a good big sister and really is so helpful. Norah can also be helpful when she wants to be and sometimes she really isn't helpful at all. I had a cute picture of Norah and Kate but somehow it got deleted :(

Kate is already being picked on at 2 days old, haha

I love this picture! It was the first time I really saw her with her eyes so wide open, she really is such an alert baby.

The day we brought Kate home, Norah had strep and was so sick, the poor thing. We tried to keep Norah away from Kate but that didnt work so well.

Our little Buckeye Baby!! She is on her way home! Yay!!

I am so grateful that Dave had 2 full weeks off so that he could be home with me. He was amazing! He took care of every thing while i rested with Kate. I think i healed much faster this time around because I could rest and not worry about anything.

This is a classic Kate face.. she has changed so much already in just a couple of months.

Lucy loves to be my big helper.. Kate loves her too and will smile and talk to her.

Norah tries to be my big helper, haha, she loves Kate but sometimes a little too much.

I love this little bug, this is my favorite outfit to put her in. So warm and cozy. I will be sad when she grows out of it.

Priceless.. perfect picture of why I say Norah loves her too much. I've had to start hiding Kate and not telling Norah where she is, especially when I am in the shower or busy trying to get something done because she always wakes her up or bugs her until she is screaming!

My mom came out to visit and of course we had to go to Chuck E Cheese. I love and miss her so much! I wish she could come out and stay with us until we can move back closer. She is so helpful and does so many things for us when she comes like make jam, make a mix chicken, catches me up on my laundry, helps with the kids, sews and set up my sewing machine for me and got all of the supplies, cooks, and cleans. My mom is the best!  I love having her here for sonic runs too, always need a mid day coke and it is so much more fun to have someone to go with.

One of my favorite pictures of Kate. Every time I would put her in the tub she would cuddle up and go right to sleep. It was the cutest thing in the whole world. She is such a good little baby. Hmmm womb memories, I guess.

Another classic Kate face, I just love her big eyes and little button nose. I think she looks a lot like Lucy as a baby. She has her mouth and little nose but has Norah's big eyes. I am so excited to see her grow.

Norah crawled into my bed one night next to Kate and fell asleep holding her hand, so sweet!

I just love how babies sleep with their arms up like this, she was so comfortable taking a nap in her swing after church. She looks so much like a Ludlow in this picture.

Well... Dave used to be smashed in our bed with 2 girls, now he is smashed in our bed with 3! We have had quite the time getting the kids to sleep in their own beds and going to bed in general, we just recently made some new rules so hopefully we can stick with them and then we can have our bed back.

Kate had been smiling a little here and there during the 6th week of life, she was 6 weeks on a friday and early sunday morning before church she gave us her first big grins. She was so happy! It totally melts my heart when my babies really smile at me for the first time. I love when they start to talk to me, make noises and sounds, and smile. It is so fun!!

My 3 little girls..  who would have ever thought that I would have 3 girls?  They are so sweet and I love them all very much!!

My friend Rachel took these last couple of pictures for me for Kate's announcement.  I cant believe how much she has already changed.  She is such a sweet little baby and is so good.  We love her very much and are so grateful that she was sent to our little family.  We love you baby Kate!
